Detroit Series 60 ECM Password

Can anyone help me unlock the password on a detroit series 60. The Customer lost his password and I need to set the Speed Limiter but the ECM is Locked. Can Anyone Help?

Whet is the engine ddec 3,4,5 ? the password is usually 0000 from the factory unless he changed it please let us know what ddec it is and then we can help you

Just call Detroit 313-592-5800, tell them you have a customer that needs the speed changed and they will give you a password.

The last 2 times I needed one they gave it to me, no problem

not like cummins but some times distribitor will

No they don't, they do it as a service to the customer.

Its great that even after warranty they still help the customer.

All they ask for is the customers info and the serial number.

Thank you very much for that info its good to know Do they do it for the new dd15,dd16 ,etc or is it just for the 60 series ?

All I have ever asked for was 60 series passwords, Haven't seen a DD in the shop yet.

to get the password i use detroit calibration tool what i do is load the calibration look and at ecm password its quite simple theres a little more to it if you want to know just tell me

DCT is definately the easiest.Just upload and look at them.
