    Default Toyota Yaris ABS problem

    Hi!

I have Toyota Yaris, make year 2005, with ABS problem. Diagnostics throws codes C1246 and C1223. Quick googling suggests replacing whole ABS pump/controller. Does anyone know something more about this problem?

What to check about brake light switch? All brake lights are working normally (left, right and 3rd brake light).

About this master cylinder pressure sensor ... where is it located and how to check it?

    Many thanks!

Is this perhaps the sensor marked as "Oil pressure sensor, 74.7 (761,55)" in this picture?

The brake lights might be working well BUT the switch will do brake lights and maybe have 3 or 4 pins the others are for ECU. The diagram you posted is for a 2003, 4runner ?????

Yes, I know it is for 4 runner ... I didn't mean that is precisely exact part, but just for reference ... will check the brake light switch now. Tnx.

Hmm ... looks like I'll have to get used ABS module and try it out. Does anyone know if these modules are VIN coded or something ... or are they plug & play?
