    Default Caterpillar P5000 forklift fault code F04, P04

    Dear M8s I have got a Caterpillar P5000 USA modell. Fault codes on dashboard F04 and P04. What shall i do? I do not know what doeas it mean. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

    Both codes refer to communication error with ECM.

    Manual is vague on this issue...
    1 Connector contact bad
    2 Harness bad
    3 ECM controller bad
    4 ECM bad
    I had only run into this issue 3 times....one was cleared by disconnecting, cleaning and reconnecting harness at ECM (located on frame below battery)....2 times ECM was bad.

    Thank you for the technical info. I am affraid in this case ECM is the problem. I have already clean the harness.
