    Default Peugeot 206 not starting

    Dear Members!

I am in need of some help, a customer has brougth a Peugeot 206 1.4 HDI 16V wich does not start...
The car has no inertial switch.

The only DTC in the ECU is
P1505 Permanent fault. Engine stopped Triggering of the air bag impact detector

There are no other DTC-is in the controllers, I have scanned the car with pp2000

    The ecu number is 0 281 010 707
    The airbag controller number is 602 32 73 00

EEprom dumps are in the attachment.

Please someone help me start this car!

    Best regards,
    Mike

There is no 1.4 HDI 16v, only 8v

    Default ecu is locked

    hello
the engine ecu cannt start unless the bsi unlock the ecu after reciving the transponder code through the ecu under the steering switch
you have to check the actual value for the ecu and the transponder key
if you use the pps you have to check them first
in the pps if u enter the correct body code all the ecu will be scaned

You must check with Peugeot planet synchronisation between ECU and BSI
if not will know pin from vin here and provide synchronisation
    after check CAN in BSI

BSI > Parameter > Immobilser > BSI matched to ECU??

    hi
check rail pressure when engine cranking, must have around 200bar (+-50bar)
i think it`s siemens piezo rail system
    check fuel lines to vp

    regards

It does not have rail pressure, it keeps the valve open because of the crash error (the car did not have a crash)

If I disconnect the valve, the pressure goes up to 1500bar, but the ecu does not open the injectors (again because of the crash error)

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Default ecu value

    hello
afer you check the measure at the bsi you have to check other values for the fuel and the air at the ecu
    also the engine speed
some times you ll find them all are just ????????????

and you have to check the fuse inside the bsi and in the engine fuse box

Try removing airbag ECU, and clearing code

    Just found this....

    Original Question......
    307 1.4 hdi none start.
fault code stored p1505 impact sensor
no faults in air bag system
tested fuel system and fuel to pomp but as soon as engine cranks all fuel gets dumped by flow controle valve into return due to engine ecu triger signal .
with flow controle disconected fuel presser 1480 bar.
need to know where this crash signal coms from we cant find a sensor so think this coms from air bag but we dont have a fault in the airbag system even with the air bag ecu disconected still none start and the crash fault is still stored!

    Answer
In my opinion, this would be caused by low power suppply to airbag control module........or a faulty airbag control module.

PS: before working on airbags, the battery cable must be removed for at least ten minutes.

    Proceed as following:
    - unclip the frame at selector lever
    - remove bolts (1)

    http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/na...081253_cas.pdf

    - then unplug the connector at control unit, remove the bolts and remove the unit.

Having done that, you need to check the impact sensors as following:

First the right impact sensor check:
    http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/na...81533_cas1.pdf

    And the left sensor check:
    http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/na...81641_cas2.pdf

Then check is connector is tight, and contacts are clean.............make sure that you have no blown fuses.......

And if all these do not solve the issue, you would need a peugeot scan tool (LEXIA) to reset the system (reprogram the airbag unit), and if that does not work a new airbag control unit.

    Customer :
there are no faults stored in the airbag module at all and even with the airbag module disconected the fault is still present in the engine ecu with our tester we can see the signals from the crash sensors and both are ok

    Answer
Since the fault is only present within the ECU, then you may need a new ECU or it could be a fault within the network between the modules...............and in that case, i would reset the BSI and see what happens.......

You can clear crash data from airbag ECU. But you can buy a crash-free second hand ECU for about ?15
