hello
I have this laptop
how can i read this eeprom
can any one have a master code generation of boot pasword
Hi to All!
I have same trouble with my R60...
It have ATMEL AT8356908 inside... and no 24RF08 here
But i did it!!! REALLY!!!
According to pdf about 8356908 it has 24RF08 inside:
The AT8356908 integrates the AT24RF08 non-RFID AssetID functionality and a Time
and Temperature Environmental Recording (TATER) support function into a single
chip. Each function utilizes a separate 1 Kbyte EEPROM (Electrically Erasable and
Programmable Read-Only Memory). The TATER EEPROM mirrors a 1 Kbyte battery
backed SRAM.
So SDA is 34 pin and SCL is 33
I found Joe`s blog R60 with good faq and pictures.
Second part is circuit - i build driven-i2cprog from ALLservice
and download 24rf08-tools to read eeprom (it free)
But!!! I2C line in TP use 3.3 volts, so we need MAX3232 - it can work from 3.3 source
As a stabilizer, i chose LM1117 3.3v (only 3 legs, need 2 capacitors, cheap)
Take power from R60 USB - so need to solder only 2 wires: SCL and SDA.
I decoded pass with Ibmpass 2.2 lite tool (free too), and my R60 return to normal!!!
PS.
Conect wires ONLY after password promt!!! SCL first, SDA second. And disconect it BEFORE you pres a key or shutdown (for safety).
