    Default touran edc16U1 not contactable

    i have a problem on a touran 1,9 pdi 2005.

    sometimes car does't start also engine ecu control lamp is not lighting.
    when this failure is i also can't make diagnostic with vcds.

    when i switch ignition off and on about 10 times, sometimes car starts, and i can drive without any problems till i stop it.

    the engine control light glows with ignition and car starts, also i can make diagnostics.
    someone knows this problem?

    Check if ecu has been opened, if it has reopen it, clean pcb with isopropyl alcohol, and re-seal it properly.

    do you use a special glue or silicone to seal the ecus?

    use hot air.
    i use grey glue from Berner without vinegar. lead not like vinegar.

    Have similar things happened to me, but only one time was the ecu. other was contacts from "cannon" key.

    what i forget to say when i switch the ignition on the radiator van is starting...

    sorry what do you mean with "cannon" key?

    The ignition lock contacts, if the fun work , the car as in emergency mode !

    The problem is bad contacts in MPC. To solve this problem reballing them os re-heat carefully MPC.

    is it possible that there is a problem is flash.

    maybe there is a bug in the checksum, i read with bdm please can someone take a look on it.

    you could have the hot start problem or i thing it s relay 19...it s one of the relay 206...or 19

    Change ECU Relay
    If is not cupled the ECU dont boot and no comunication

    Hello Chrisskros .I had same problem like you in Seat Altea EDC16U1 ,I was buyed used EDC16 and replace EEPROM and FLASH (from orginal EDC )and nothing the same problem ,but I back to flash from used EDC and all ok .In 100% you have damage Flash.Regards

    i already checked ecu power connection i got 12V on pin 3,5,6, 18.

    do you mean the relais in the fusebox engine bay, i already changed them.

    t77 you had the same problem was your ecu also

    03G906016 DK 6247

    is this possbile can flash damaged by itself?

    can someone help me with a good flashfile please.

    Yea my ECU is 03G 906 016 EG EDC16U1 maybe is possible itself about Falsh failure ..I must buy adapter 56pin ssop to my programmer and try read bad flash...Check CAN impulse by scope if nothing ECU not working...Here you are pinout EDC
