Default Mercedes Benz wis.net install DVD

    hello mates...
I am here again looking for some advice.
I installed the 2011 Xentry and DAS into my laptop.
    Version 01/2011
It runs fine thanks to zoolokas guide and many other DK members that helped me.
But the problem now is that I dont see the wis.net , and also the EWA net-WIS net stand alone folder either.
I checked my xentry/das install discs and NO luck and I see NO wis install or setup.
I researched the DK forum and ohter as well to llom for the install discs, but so far no luck.
Can someone please help me to find those wis install discs?
    cheers mates.
My wife said that i have no hair, have big ears ..but a great smile.

You would need to find WIS installation DVDs. Once you succeed there, mount both WIS DVDs and run the "SDSwitch.exe" file from the root of the first DVD.

Be sure to have COMPACT4 in the registry before installing WIS NET Standalone, otherwise you would not have all files copied to the hard drive.

    thanks DB,
when you say to modify the registry to COMPACT4 , do you mention to modify the regedit,
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    SOFTWARE
    STAR DIAGNOSE
and look for the COMPACT2 and rename it to COMPACT4.
    right?
Once that I modify that line, and assuming that I am using a clone MUX C3, do I have to modify the registry again to COMPACT3 or COMPACT2 to work with that MUX..right?

thanks again for the help mate...I owe you big time.
    cheers.

Yes, if you have Compact2, Compact3 or anything else than COMPACT4 at that registry entry, change that to COMPACT4 and then install WIS NET Standalone.

No, you do not need to change COMPACT4 back to something else after this, your PartD (C3) mux works fine with the setting.
