    Default Diagbox v5.02 installation problem

I am having problems installing Diagbox v5.02 to my netbook.
It has got Windows XP with SP3, and I deactivated Firewall and Antivirus during whole installation process.
Internet and the Lexia interface are also disconnected.

I have watched lots of video tutorials, but still no successful installation/activation.
    Here is what I did:

    1) Downloaded the ISO file (~ 1GB), or alternatively its content files, from several different sources, to make sure it's ok. They are also identical to the ones which came with my interface.

    2) Mounted the ISO with DaemonTools, and started setup-file.
Alternatively I tried installation directly from files on harddisk, instead from ISO image.

    3) "base" installation of Diagbox is performed. Afterwards, I had to manually start it for the first time, in order for additional folder structure to be created (where the patch will target to). Then I cancelled activation and closed it.
Is supposed to start automatically for the first time directly after installation, it looks like that in the video tutorials?

    4) Executed the patch (v5.0), and got "successful".

    5) Starting DB again, I chose manual activation, and entered "scary01", <32 digit number>, and "02FFFFFF".

    6) Diagbox then started installing the contents according to the profile, i.e. Lexia, PP2000, and PPDiag.

    7) At the end, I always get this error message:
    ERROR PPD.
Error during installation of PPD. You have to reactivate to restart the installation.
So I delete the APPDIAG.SYS in order to re-enter the activation/profile data, but always end up with the same error message.

    Anyone got ideas?

I have Asus netbook 1000H with Windows XP SP3.
So far, I have tried installing from hard disk files, from files on USB stick, from ISO image (mounted daemon tools by DT or SCSI), and from DVD (external USB DVD drive).

All end up with the same "PPD error".
I have watche many youtube videos and read many internet boards.
But by now, I am fairly clueless.
Someone knows of this error, and of how to solve it, please?

    Thumbs up

I finally solved my problem by completely re-installing WinXP (home) on my netbook.
Having done that, everything worked smoothly (installing DB 5.02 and updating to 5.20 and 5.29), just as in all the instructions and video tutorials.

Apparently something was wrong with my Windows system.
Maybe because I had PP2000 installed before, although I closely followed the instructions to for updating from Lexia/PP2000 to Diagbox.
