Hi all,
I have a Nissan Almera Tino 1.8 2003 with a starting fault. Originally the car had a misfire, 2 of the coil packs had a very weak spark so they were changed and the car ran sweet for about 44 miles. Then it cut out and misfired worse than it did originally.
Knowing this has a common ECU fault I got a known working ECU, code swapped and changed all 4 coil packs this time. Car ran for 2 miles then died. Now it doesn't start. Crank but no fire!
I've looked in the ECU and the coil driver looks intact, and it no way gives a direct 12 volt output. So my 2 questions are:
Is there any sort of coil amplifier between ECU and coil packs (to go from 2v to 12v) which could cause the fault?
Are their any other known issues I should be aware of?
As always your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
