Hi
I have a customer with a BA 6cyl Falcon, It has an intermittent problem with the throttle going into limp. The engine sometimes revs to about 3000RPM then starts to run very rough and from there the throttle has no response, after turning off the engine and restarting it its fine for another day, week or hours.
The codes that it logs are as follows, P1270, "Engine or vehicle speed limit reached driver induced condition-torque intervention" & P2110, Throttle actuator control system forced limited RPM. There are no codes in any other systems.
I have not seen the problem myself but the mechanic has. The problem occurs about twice a week and logs the same codes always.
The throttle body, throttle pedal and the ECU have been replaced (throttle body and pedal genuine Ford and ECU is reco exchange).
Thanks in advance.
