bmw e90 steering lock fault

i recently programmed a 2008 bmw e90 spare key with bmw multi-tool. the key programmed 100% as it starts the vehicle and works the central locking and unlocks the steering. however when you start the vehicle after a few secs . red warning light with a steering wheel and padlock symbol displays on screen and stays on. this just shows as a warning light because the steering does not lock once car is started. i tried owners old key and the same issue arises. the owner says the light was not present prior to the key being programmed.

has anyone experienced this ? can anyone advise me on a solution ?

try update cas sw

Sync cas and elv if not work update software in cas to latest version.

I programmed one chip of ignition via OBD for one E90 2009 (330i) , Done
But after key program only ACC on and no ignition and not start engine.
This car lost all remote.
I sync EVL and CAS but not solve problem.
Message instrument cluster :
Steering wheel lock:
Electric steering wheel lock under strain.Steering wheel cannot unlocked.
move the steering wheel to enable engine start.
Voltage battery 13v

- DTC CAS: A103: CAS: Immobilizer bus fault.
- DTC AFS( Active Front Steering )TC 6140: AL: Redundancy comparison, driver's steering angle.

Please help me . what is problem in your idea ?

how do you update cas to lastest version .What it exactly mean if u locksmith trying to make key for this car what else should you carry in your gear to get around situation like this
