    Unhappy Citroen C5 2.0 16v 2002 "Airbag fault"

    Hi,

I've got a "small" problem with my airbag system. When i turn-on ignition display shows me "Airbag fault". I plugged my lexia, and airbag computer showed one fault. I've got lexia in Polish and i can't translate it perfect, but it was something like "calculator Configuration fault", fault code P2041. I checked, that 6 bags are in car and computer is configurated for 6 bags too. Battery disconnecting doesn't change anything. I don't have any ideas, how can i solve this. Do you have any ideas?

    It's TEMIC 9648403180

    Thanks in advance

I switched language in interface and now fault sounds "ECU configutation fault, not specified" and fault code is P1041 - i was wrong in last post.

    Scoot,
Could you describe me, when this wire is? What means "passenger headlamp"? Are you thinking about lamp, which is placed above front window? Do you have pinout for my airbag ECU?

    Thanks for your reply

I'm not sure, that car have ever been in crash. I hope no, but everything is possible.
Ok, i will check this loom if i will find some free time.

Crash data? I don't think so, because this fault appeared unexpactedly.
Thanks for advices, guys because each advice is very important.

I checked this loom, but the problem does not disappeared...I looking for pinout of Temic ECU. I used google, but i can't find. It's the same for each Temic, or different? I found ECU, but the identification numbers are not the same. I suppose, that problem is in ecu, but i'm not sure and i don't have tools to check it.

Can someone help me? Still need pinout for Temic. I supposed, that fault is in ECU software, because i checked all wires. What should i do after ECU replace? It will be enough, if I set correct airbags with Lexia? Whick Temic ECU will be proper?(which numbers, marks have to be the same)?

Sorry for two posts together, but i tried to delete previous and i didn't find button.

I disassembled airbag ECU yesterday, and i've been in shock. I have soldered 3 resistors inside ECU - in circuit responsible for lateral airbag, passenger pretensioner and air curtain (you know what i mean, sometimes i use translator ). I supposed i solve this problem, because i found a jumper?(short wire soldered between two points). I guess, it was soldered same years ago and due to time it is cracked. Main problem is, where this wire should be soldered? It is a standard procedure after crash (resistor and jumper) or should i try to find any broken paths on PCB?

See below: (sorry for photo quality)

P1041 is usually caused by faulty steering wheel squib connector,in other words, check steering wheel airbag connection, and whatever you did, unsolder everything from airbag ecu,and return all to factory state, before someone gets hurt!!!
