    Default ASTRA 2A 28.2E - no signal???

Was happily watching TV when all of a sudden started getting scrambled or 'no signal'. Turns out there is no signal coming via Astra 2a 28.2E??? I can only detect 2/3 of a signal from Astra 1H/K 19.2E but as you can imagine this one is one brodacasting fraction of the channels.

    Anyone else have this problem?

If you were watching TV at the time and all was well sounds like dish has moved by wind or LNB faulty to me.

Look at the simple things first don't complicate it its normally a simple tweak here or there.

Thanks for all your suggestions guys. It's really weird but this is how I resolved it. I went into the Menu options and wanted to do another scan. This is where you can tell the system to scan for channels on another satellite and this is where I noticed that some other satellites were broadcasting a signal of some sort. Only by accident, I changed the "TP Index" for Astra 2A and noticed that some other indexes where showing full signal. I did another search using the new TP Index value and all channels were ok.

I am not an expert on this, but I assumed that when searching for channels on any satellite that it would go through all the different frequencies and display all?

not all boxes do a blindscan, in which case they scan the transponders in the box`s internal database , so no they dont do a "catch all" scan of all frequencies
a blindscan on a suitably equipped box is what you are thinking of
