    Default USBloader GX Wii Issues

    Hey there!
I've been having some problems with my homebrewed Wii lately and I've tried to search up the answers and find some help but unfortunately I cant find any such assistance so I decided to make a post.
So here's the problem: When I try to open USB loader GX from the System Menu I get "Exception (DSI) occurred!" followed by lines full of code and then "STACK DUMP:" and then "CODE DUMP:". The screen then says reloading in 5 seconds and freezes the Wii.
If I load USB loader GX from the homebrew channel I get a screen that tells me "ERROR! USB loader needs unstubbed cIOS 222 V4 or 249 v9+".

To add to the problems I haven't installed Priiloader and when I try to open Bootmii from the homebrew channel I get a black screen and my disc hole flashes blue.

I'm an absolute noob when it comes to this type of stuff and its been 2 years since I homebrewed my Wii.
If Someone can tell me what to do to fix these issues I would be enormously grateful.

You need to post a sysCheck19 report as instructed I that link so I can see which IOS's you've installed.

    PriiLoader is installed from Homebrew.

As you may have read on here that's a typical sysCheck of a Wii that's only been softmodded as you have 17 IOS's that are Stub. You do have IOS36 and IOS236 that's all but you need to reduce that 17 down to 4 or 5.

Download ModMii6.3.1 and run ModMii.exe from Windows. Use the SU option from the main menu and find the location of the sysCheck.csv from the sysCheck which is on the root of the SD card. That will download all missing wads and apps to COPY_TO_SD sub folder just add all files and folders to the SD card.

ModMii only installed 2 d2x v8.0 wads download d2x v8 Final wad pack and put these in the wad folder on the SD card, install all 7 wads when you install the other wads.

Put the SD card back in the Wii and run Homebrew. You already have IOS236 but it won't hurt to install it again. Run IOS236 Installer v5 Mod first before you install any other wads. Multi Mod Manager (MMM) should be the first app listed select it and load it. Once running scroll down to WAD Manager and press 'A' that will default to all wads in the wad folder. If you want to install all wads shown just press 1 that will list all wads you want to install press 'A' again to install them all.

Watch for the Installed OK message after each one. If any don't say that message make a note of the wad name and back out. Scroll down to the wad that didn't install and press the + button the put a green + next to it then press 'A' to see that wads name listed then press 'A' to install again.

Download PriiLoader 0.7 add it to the SD card and run it from Homebrew and set it to block online and disc updates, you can turn off the 'A' safety prompt on startup I do.

If you have to update to 4.3 then the Shopping Channel may not work. If it doesn't without doing another system update don't bother just install my RVL-Shopping-21
Do another sysCheck to make sure everything installed correctly and post that.

Then you just have a to find a compatible mains powered USB hard drive to add your games onto.

Ok, I have downloaded Modmii.exe and I have successfully added 18 files that were missing. I also downloaded the d2x v8 Final wad pack and put it into my SD wad folder.
I placed the SD back into the Wii and opened up homebrew where I then Installed IOS236.
Now I'm sorry to bother you, I'm sure this is just my noobishness, but do I need to download IOS236 Installer v5 mod to my SD card or should it already be on there if I've followed the previous steps?

Also, after installing IOS236 I went back on to Homebrew to load it but I just get the installer again. Is this normal?

I was going to add another Syscheck report but I think its still the same since 17 IOS are still stubs.

ModMii.exe should have downloaded all files missing and put them into COPY_TO_SD sub folder. IOS236 Installer v5 Mod these should be in SD card:\apps\IOS236-v5-Mod folder and IOS36-64-v3351.wad on the root of the SD card.

In Homebrew depending on how many folders there are in apps Multi Mod Manager (MMM) should be the first app listed. You need that to install all wads in the wad folder with that app as I've instructed you.

IOS236 v5 mod wasn't in the copy to SD folder which was generated by Modmii for some reason but I was able to manually download and put it in the apps folder in my SD along with IOS236v65535(IOS36v3351[FS-ES-NP-VP]).wad anyway so that's all fine.
After that I used mmm to install the wads (there were no issues and they all installed successfully).
I then used Priiloader to block online and disc updates too.
I didn't download your RVL-Shopping-21 because I've never used the Wii shop apart from getting the classic Zelda and Mario games (got them about 4 years ago I think).
Other than that It all went ok and I used bootmii to backup the system too to be safe.

    Here's the Syscheck Report:

I don't think anythings wrong but its better to get a proper opinion about it.
Can I also ask this: I regularly use the Netflix app on the Wii. Will I still be able to use it safely even after updating and fixing my homebrew?

Modmii probably saw IOS236 was installed so it didn't bother downloading it. If you want it then its in this pack COPY_TO_SD.

That sysCheck look ok to so have you tried any games from a drive?

No I don't use Netflix so I can't help you on that.

I've tried to install a game onto a drive but I seem to have some problems.
I'm using an 8gb Sandisk Cruzer Facet USB drive. I formatted it on my PC to FAT32 and when I launched USB loader GX I formatted it again because it told me that "No WBFS or FAT/NTFS partition found".
I then tried to install a copy of the game "Monster Hunter Tri" but after clicking the '+' button to start installing a screen came up and said "Exception (DSI) Occurred! ...(followed by codes) ... Restarting in 5".

I then tried using USB Loader GX again to install the game again and it successfully installed a copy of the game onto my USB drive (The installation took 12 minutes or so).
I played the game through USB Loader GX and there didn't seem to be any issues.

However, when I tried to look at the saved game file on the USB drive on my PC I wasn't able to open the drive and I was asked to format it (I didnt).
Do you know of a way to allow me to open the USB drive on my PC to allow me to look at the saved files and .iso's?

Exception (DSI) Occurred! has been talked about before if you search or Google. Flash drives aren't really big enough as they aren't really big for holding big games.

All my games work without the problem. That sysCheck is exactly the same as mine sysCheck #7S3lwfp8

I've tried a small USB drive and all my games still work.

Yeah, I figure I just have to restart and give it another go on the loader next time i see the "DSI ERROR...".
Other than that all is working well. I've got the 8gb USB Flash Drive but I also have a 32gb drive that I'm also planning on using.
I figured out my issue: I just had to download WBFS Manager to backup my loaded game .iso

Thank you very much Kiethuk, You have been very helpful with my Wii problems.
If anything acts up I'll be sure to post something about it.

    Thank you again Kiethuk
