    Is it 2.0 hdi?
Have you got comms to engine ecu? If so any codes?
Have you comms to bsi? if yes check vin and see if its got a load of nonsense for vin,if so then reconfigure bsi then relearn keys,
If you got comms then check for power to engine loom, car only saying economy mode because its saving battery power for engine start, your wipers etc.. wont work either, soon as it starts car will come out of economy mode
    edc15 ecu?
    many thanks flyins

Your car is with engine 2.0 hdi,ecu edc15c2 bosch ref. 0281011081 and for pin code you must read eeprom 95p08 from this ecu.Are you sure about immo problem with this car,did you make any diagnosis to see errors and live data?

Economy active , it mean that the voltage in the vehicle is low and the bsi give this message and disable the radio, windows and etc...., is not your fault, i will glad to help you but you have to scan it with pps and check pressure of the pump and ecu status.
    If It Helped Push Thanks

No, in peugeot cars economy mode appears when a security problem is present but also appears when ckp sensor fails

Disable economy mode with diagbox, scan car, post faults, view live data, a non starting car doesnt mean immo problem, I think you are maybe jumping in to deep to start with SJ, as long as it's in economy mode it can disable comms/functions of many modules so before you do anything you need to get it out of that state first to get a better picture, I have a 207 non start in workshop if I have time I will post screenshot of where option is unless someone explains it better, oh and my one wont be fixed with an immo off solution (unless it can re-align the valve timing )

To get these out of eco mode I have a spare crank sensor, I just wave a wrench close to sensor. 4 to 6 passes usually does it. Make sure battery is charged.

Can you please explain the theory behind this? If you have a working crank sensor what will plugging in another one and triggering it manually do that the already fitted one won't? I only ask because my understanding is these cars only default to economy mode after several minutes of cranking (or anything resulting in low battery output) the reason it comes out of economy mode after starting is due to the charge seen from alternator, at least that is how it was explained to me.

Economy mode is not a fault it's a battery saving safety feature, usually triggered by leaving ignition on for 2 long or several non start cranking attempts

SJ until you do a full scan with it out of economy mode imho you will never see a full picture of what's going on as the system shuts down a lot of resources to conserve power, so get that enabled first then rescan the full car.... what are you using for scanning it.... please don't say an eobd scanner
