PIN 21 IS RCV AND PIN 20 IS XMT, PIN 1 AND 2 ARE GROUND. YOU MUST POWER UP THE MICRO TO READ. LOOKING AT BACK OF BOARD FIRST BLACK PLUG ON TOP OF CIRCUIT BOARD TO LEFT, FIRST PIN AT BOTTOM LEFT IS POWER # 11. 12 VOLTS +GROUND IS ON SECOND BLACK PLUG TO RIGHT, AT THE BOTTOM STARTING ONTHE FIRST PIN LEFT COUNT 6 OVER TO THE RIGHT YOU SHOULD BE ON PIN 17THAT IS YOUR GROUND.

MIGHT HAVE TO CUT PIN 2 TO READMICRO 68HC11E9
SOMETIMES JOINING PINS ONE AND 2 AFTER CUT
    USE A10 ADAPTER
    GREEN IS XMT
    YELLOW IS RX (RCV)
    VIOLET 12V
    BROWN GND
OR POWER YOUR BOARD FROM A PSU

SOMETIMES U NEED LIKE 6 WIRES BUT CAN BE DONE WITH FOUR

    GOOD LUCK..................

The hc11 2003 Ford f150 you cut the jp157 and jump wire to jp115, after programming the cluster, do you remove that wire and resolder back the jp157 , or leave the jp157 open cut?
