    Default Air con problem

Hi guys I've got a problem with the air con on my Vauxhall Astra 1.7 cdti 61 plate.
The air con light comes on when I switch it on but the clutch on the compressor does not engage. Upon further investigation there is no voltage supplied to the clutch when the air con is switched on. I've had the system pressure tested and was told the pressure was good. I've checked all my fuses but I suspect an electrical problem perhaps a faulty pressure sensor or maybe a faulty relay. Any help would be appreciated.

if you have proper quantity of refrigerant to your system then common problems of these are the burned clutches and blown fuses

You can check pressure switch by bypassing its connector with paperclip... If no luck, than relay, if fuses are ok and with direct power to the clutch, it's working. Otherwise it's in the wires or fusebox...

Just a quick update guys I managed to get my air conditioning back up and running today. The problem lay with a fuse I removed in the winter(fuse36) to replace the blown fuse for my screen wash(fuse40).
According to the Vauxhall owners manual and the Haynes manual, fuse 36 is a spare and unused.
Not so it is used to protect the power supply to the air conditioning electro magnetic coil. I inadvertently removed it thinking it done nothing to get my windscreen wash working again. Only now, months later due to the warm weather did I realise I had no air conditioning.
Take note there are two fuses on the 1.7 cdti astra j protecting the electrics on the air conditioning. In the main fuse box(next to the battery)its fuse 36. And in the glovebox fuse box it's fuse 17.
