No you don't need a special program you could use this for audio: http://www.youtube-mp3.org/ and this for video http://youtubeinmp4.com/ or there is a program which lets you download both in just one program and its safe, i use this program and i strongly recommend it: http://videodownloader.ummy.net/?

I've used YTD (You Tube Downloader) for a while now. Just copy & paste the URL & hit download. Then you can convert it using the same program.

just use videograbby the best fastest no hassle all you have to do go to your tube copy page url open video grabby click download and use vlc player to play all video .
