    Default corsa c. cluster replacement

    Hi dk

Customer has 2008 corsa C. Vehicle has no instrument cluster so will replace with a used one from scrap yard.
Can someone explain how coding is done for instrument cluster. I have opcom clone.

If it is a corsa c you can read the pin from new cluster with op com then can reset it and program to car 's vin and pin. If it's corsa D (2008)maybe car start or you need read eeprom to discover pin

As MaurolT said, you should read pin from cluster and reset it with this pin - you can do this with opcom. Then you have to program cluster with pin of the car. This pin you can not read with opcom.

Hi. Having the same problem. Damaged both displays of my Corsa C 2001 easytronic. Have bought same type of dash via eb.y but don't know the PIN. Is there any chance to program the new used cluster to my car?

@drz Is there a specific sequence to reset and program of the different cluster units? Must I reset my old broken one first (only displays broken ). Don't want to reset it so I can't start the car

OP Com FW 1.45 is availabe but I read some bad things about this FW while programing units.

You wrote 'damaged both displays' - does it mean other things on dash work ok (gauges, lamps..)? If you can connect to dash with opcom, then you can easy adapt you new used dash.

yes I broke both display cables by opening the case. (Shame on me ). You mean I can adapt the new used dash even I don't know the S. PIN of the new used one ? I would give it a try but my fear is that if I reset my current dash some error occurs while reset and then nothing works anymore- Thats the reason I haven't tried it yet. The sequence of reseting and adapt is important afaik

And yes all other things like gauges, lamps, signals are working fine. I drive without any display since more than 3 years :-(

The first thing you need to do is connect to the instruments and go to EEPROM menu and pull the pin code(security code) from them for the new clocks. Once you have this you can then reset the clocks in the programming menu of the instruments by entering the security code and selecting reset IPC. switch ignition off for 30 seconds then back on.

Once they are reset you then program the new clocks by going to the programming menu and selecting the program IPC and then put your cars original security code in. You should get a message back saying successful. Once appears. Clear ALL codes and turn ignition off for 30 seconds. You should now be able to start the car.

Try this and reply, it worked for me once using opcom
    try to keep it humble

    Thanks for the reply KAMIKA

ok I think I have understand it.

First Im going to read the sec. code of my working car ( I know the code). Do I have to read the EEPROM file of my old broken instrument ? Or if I understand it right just read it with the OPCOM in the EEPROM menu?

Then going to switch both instruments. Now going to read the s. code of the used unknown dash .. Again EEPROM file? Or just read key via OPCOM EEPROM menu?. Then reset this instrument with that new code. Ignition on/off procedure ... and reprogram it with my old known s. key/code. Thats it ? The old instrument will be still working if theres a program failure ? Or must I have to reset this working one first ? Sry for maybe silly questions :-)

Is there any prob. to do that programming with FW 1.45?

The main issue of easy programming ist that I have to know the old carpass code? I have that code so the programming might be plug and play (easy) ? Just read out PIN of the unknown one ... make reset with that code ... and simply reprogram it with the old PIN/code from the car ?

As you know the code of your car, put new dash, with opcom in eeprom menu of ipc read sec code, then reset ipc with this code and finally program it with code of your car. In all this procedure you don't need your old dash so it will be still working.
