Clone EDC17CP14 ?

Hi guys,


I know EDC17 stores the immo data crypted in eeprom, and the key used for that is stored in the (virtual) OTP area in flash.
So there are 2 ways to clone an EDC17 I suppose:

1) Some way to erase/overwrite the virtual OTP area, and write a different key (and use matching eeprom)
or
2) Know the algo, and create new crypted immo data based on the existing key in OTP area.

Can some of you tell me if there exist tools which can actually clone an EDC17CP14 ecu?
And if so, what method do they use?

Can make full backup, place new MCU and write all data to virgin ECU.
That's my solution.

@CustomCars, yes I understand but virgin ECU is expensive. That's why I asked about cloning to a 'used' ecu

Immo transfer or immo off by immo byte calculate and crc in eeprom

The easy way is with immo off but the right way is to fix the immo .in some cases depend what is situation and what cost
