MINI R56 MED17.2 ecu clone 0261S04443

Hi folks,

a friend asked if i can help to replace a broken ecu in his mini r56 JCW.
He bought a spare ecu with same Bosch (0261S04443) and BMW number (7590857).

Now i need some information how to clone this ecu if possible or how to read isn and modify the CAS.
What toolchain do i need? Whats the best way to get the car running?

this ecu cannot be cloned...only way read isn and write it to cas.

Is this because of the tricore? I never worked with Tricore ecus before.

Which part (eprom or Flash) off the ecu do i need to read the ISN and which software can extract the ISN and inject it to the CAS-file?
I already have Galletto 2 clone but i never used it before, so i need a little help.

Avdi, explorer, autohex...all will work...
Yes because of tricore and OTP are...it can only be cloned if it has same version of daten...

Unfortunately all very expensive tools, makes no sense when you use it only 1 time.
I have Xprog to write the CAS3, but i need a tool to match DME and CAS files, like ISN editor does it for older ecus.
Is there any other tool?
