Default Peugeot Boxer 2010 - Factory fitted Bosch radio / CD says 'Cancheck'

    Hello,

When I first got my van, I swopped the very basic factory fitted radio / CD with a Kenwood unit which is great. I want to transfer the Kenwood to my next van.

I replaced the original radio and have got the message 'Cancheck' on the display. I have the radio code etc, however the useless handbook makes no mention of how to enter the code. Anyway I suspect that the word 'Code' should be displayed for the process to start.

I spent hours on the phone to Peugeot dealers (8), Peugeot UK, Peugeot Fleet, Bosch Automotive UK and the supplying dealer - all useless and some even telling me that vans don't have radios - Muppets

I've trolled this forum and seen some dialogue on this topic but no difinitive answers. Can anyone help please.

    Many thanks

Is your radio the Original radio for your van or just the same model?

Did you reconnect all plugs back into the radio?
I say this because it shouldn't display Cancheck if it's the Original radio

I believe I have but will remove again and reinsert again - there were three blocks - Top includes earth and canbus etc, the middle block is speakers and the bottom block connector is something to do with the steering wheel controls I believe.

Try diagnose via Diagbox and post result.

It is diagnostic equipment dedicated for Peugeot/Citroen cars. Did you try disconnect battery ?

No good idea - I'll disconnect the battery and then check the wiring and see if that clears things

    Default Still Stuck

I disconnected the van battery and left it for an hour - I reconnected the battery and switched the radio on - 'cancheck' was back . I've spoken to a few Fiat and Peugeot dealers again today but no solutions suggested.

Has the van ever been in to a dealership for a service etc SINCE you fitted the aftermarket radio? I suspect there is no signal on the CAN lines and just needs to be reactivated using either Diagbox, as dragon100 mentioned, or Planet2000 at a dealership (much more expensive option).

Basically you need a local autospark who has Diagbox in his armoury (most will have this because it is essential these days). They can plug in and include the oem radio in the CAN network again.
