Default Sprinter 906 CR4 variant coding Manuel to automatic transmission

I am working on a sprinter that has the transmission changed from Manual to automic.
    sprinter runs and drives.

I changed the variant coding on abs from SG to AG with DAS DEVELOPER 2013
my next step is doing the same for EZS, but for the Engine ECU i did not see this.

    Engine type is CR4 3.0 6cyl OM642.

is it possible to change the variant coding on the ECU?
What is the right way to perform this swap.

i have an spare ECU from an automatic if this can't be done thru variant coding.
but how do I adapt this ECU with the ezs and the rest to get it started.

lots of questions. But my experience is with xentry is very limited.

any tips are welcome thank you.

    Hello everybody
    Really nice topic
Mercedes Sprinter is quite easy for such modifications, my last project was to convert Sprinter with badly OM651 engine into Sprinter with OM642 with automatic transmission.
Here in Netherlands we have many Mercedes junkyards and it is very important to have one for small parts that are always on the way.
Cheap source for OM642 engine with automatic transmission is Chrysler 300C CRDI several small parts need to be replaced and the engine can be build into Sprinter, transmission is fitting also.

davidebisognin - you need transmission, transmission wiring (can be made) pedals, shift lever, and another shaft. Your differential can be programmed into ETC, but ratio could be or too high or too low, need to check in EPC.

If someone need some help with such modifications, send me a message, I'm not following forum every day.
