    Default Vivaro 2015

Hi all am struggling to get this van to start after a crash. it's now been rebuilt had the airbag ECU reset /replaced its showing no faults on Renault clip other than it can't talk to the abs pump. It's a 1.6 biturbo flexible start. I've changed the abs pump and belled the loom out with no issues. Anyone know what may be stopping it from starting. It had 2 blown fuses on the main ECU after the crash but i had those repaired and tested... Help

Does it crank over? Is the key recognised? Was the battery flat or disconnected? If it cranks, do you have cam/crank sync? What fuel pressure at crank? You have the vehicle and right gear to sus this. The answer is there in front of you. Get a test plan and work through it.

Hi pal thanks for your reply ! changed the battery just in case it cranks over fine, cams and crank turn fine. Fuel pressure on the low side is fine the high pressure pump wont pass it to the injectors. I managed to get on the van today and its doing some strange things now, Abs light is flashing, check stop start is on the display, doors wont open from inside the van engine management light and spanner is on... the ~~~~ing things only had a bump on the passenger wing the woman has done work reversing the car

Connect a charger, turn ignition on, walk away, come back after 2 hours. Battery voltage must be very good to allow all systems to reset. Worked for me in the past.

Did you replace the Airbag ecu with a new one or have the crash data cleared.

Hi all, battery is @13.6v so all good there.. I sent the air bag ecu off for reset/repair. I've had it on Renault can clip (v164) the air bag showing no faults and it is unlocked and I cant see anywhere it says crash data on it. The van is showing 2 fault codes dtc926768 (upc stop start module circuit) and dtc505095 (abs computer). I can not find any info relating to these DTC codes so I rang Renault and got told its private information that is copy write. can anyone tell me how to fix this shed

The 2 vans i had with this problem were cured by fitting a new airbag ecu, both had the ecu sent away for crash data clearing and although there were no faults in the airbag ecu there was a fault logged in the bcm relating to an internal error of the airbag ecu (SDM).

Thanks pal i think the one that's on is a new one / reprogrammed by airbag module repairs. It removed the stop van error on the dash display

How can a fault code be copywriter, if was your scanner should not have told you it!

Bit strange, did see a tweet, something to do with side impact sensors causing non start, unplugged and away

Shouldn't these start without airbag module connected, if they work the same as new clio, you need to tell engine ecu to let vehicle start after accident

Is the fuel to the injectors.? The last one of these we had turned out to be damaged wiring at the plug to the stop solenoid on the front of the fuel pump ... Fitted new plug and away it went

I would continuity check injectors back to ECU and check crank and cam correlation ... If the injectors are not opening it could be either immobiliser fault or wiring ... Can't see it being airbag related
