Default non start Nissan micra 12 2005

    Hi everyone,
I am newbie in this forum, i hope you professionals will try to help me with my nissan micra 2004 keyless system, my son bought his first can which turn out to be sour for him and my self, basically it is non starter and my mechanic used his diagnostic machine got code P1611 Natts malfunction, everything works fine i mean all light comes on on the speedo but nats light does not turn off. the engine does not turn at all so basically its in comma! tired to power starter motor and it works fine, also sent ECU for testing and it came fine the locksmith checked the key fine too. after that got another complete kit but still the same situation, i did not change the
power steering which i feel its built with natts too, or codes do not match. now i am confused where to start from i would not mind paying someone for his time but i need this car to be started, ill also be happy if any one could advice me so can try to sort it, but i am no computer genius ,

    please please help me guys

    thanks

Yes, check relays in engine compartment. Was there at anytime cam or crank sensor faults? Can you see engine speed?

hi thanks for your response, all fuses and relays are fine i dont know if power steering is coded , the car car was non starter from beginning, got another complete ECU kit from scrap yard but unfortunately i did not get power steering coloumn that is where i feel
its stopping the car from cranking. all lights show on speedo red light with key symbol stay on and the car is dead, doors light they work fine but no start or turning engine.

any chances of maching power steering module.

find someone witch diagnostic scanner and reed codes. If you start changing components you go in hight cost with small chance to find real problem.

Yes steering column is coded. That will be your problem. If they are ever changed on these with secondhand unit, the car will run until battery disconnected or goes flat.

You need to rewrite eeprom in module with virgin file, then it will self code back in.

No, not possible to just unplug.

Did you buy it as a non-runner?

    hi,
Yes the car was non runner i have gone through hell. with stupid car, i took to dealers n the bite me hard could not start the car, then i sent ECU to recheck and it came not faulty. after that i bought complete kit but without power steering , calld for key guy to check same thing. getting fault code P1611 immobiliser malfunction.
only recently i found out on micra is 04 reg and on steering coloumn the sticker dated 05 so now i am 100% sure the code is not maching.

i am no computor genious to i dont know about eeprom things and dump files. so basically i am planning to open EPS and solder new chip 24C16 and finger cross

You might get better response if you used the thanks button to thank the people who have helped you.
I can send you correctly programmed eeprom, but if you are not used to doing this sort of thing, could get out of your depth.
