Default Tachograph Siemens VDO 1381 - problem after disassembling

    Hi,

I disassembled this type of tachograph to find some eeprom but when I put all thinks back tachograph doesnt work. When I connect it to the power Display shows only black cubes on the first row. I found some information about battery. When the battery was disconnected and connected again tachograph is dead - it is crazy but it is my case for now.

So, car is Iveco Daily 2010 3.0HDI with EDC17. Car works without tachograph OK (speed OK, Km on dash is increasing), but with some errors on the dash.

So, Can I use another tachograph from another car or I need to buy new one? or is it possible to configure BCM, dash and Engine ECU without tachograph??

    thanks for help

    Throw it away.
It's dead if You have it opened.
You can do mileage by special tool and service card only, but even then old mileage can be easily checked.

    Regards.
