Default S1000RR ECU Tune to LaunchControl

I am researching the possiblitys to do the following:

The 2012 BMW S1000RR that I own, uses the same hardware as the HP4. However, the HP4 has software on the ecu which incorporates launch control. For at this moment, I have multiple HP4 BIN files.

Is there a way to find and inidicate the HP4 table for launch control, and copy it to my ECU? Without changing the fuel map, and immobiliser, mileage and other stuff?

I have the WINols, I can open the BIN file, but i have no indication what I am looking at.

What would be the best approach to this?

And perhaps most important: I know for a fact this can be done. There are companys who do this for you. But I wish to do this myself, and learn about the process.

I have a degree in automotive engineering, unfortunately, stuff like this was never covered. But I have some knowledge about the subject.

Furthermore I would like to thank every contributor for all the info that is already available o this website.

Very good point, both correct. The HP4 file contain LC, and so does the RACE ECU (or normal ECU edited to accept changes from RCK2).

This brings new posibilities, thank you.

So concluding, converting my normal ECU to a HP RACE ECU would show the same results, presumably with less problems.

    Any input appreciated.

Either of two choises, activate RCK2 on standard dataset or do the full upgrade HP Race PowerKit and RCK2. The last one is recommended sins RCK2 on standard data set can make irrational (not work as expected) changes to TC.
If you have the road legal HP Titanium (almost same as HP race) dataset and exhaust (same as HP4) RCK2 works better.
Hp race is best because you need to edit the torque buildup map for one, to get it to work good. Standard maps in the race dataset is mostly crap.

The bike has a road legal HP4 exhaust, with catalytic converter. No tuning done yet, was unsure about Powercommander or ECU flash.

Could you point me in the right direction how to do a ful upgrade to the HP Race Kit?

If I activated RCK2 on the standard dataset, and but the RCK2 cable and software, I would be good to go?

    Excellent reply btw.
