    Default Fiat Stilo Airbag Problem

Hi everyone hope someone can help.
Everytime i start my car it says airbag fault stop car but i have turned the airbags off with the key and tried again & same message. the message only used to come on ocassionally now its says it all the time.
Just want to know if i have to go to garage to get rid of this message or can i do it myself.
    Thankyou

    First for all.
    Stilo three or five doors?
Are you skilled enough to take a look in the joint connectors ?
Generally the Airbag warning light in Fiat Stilo apper for two reason.
Losen or bad contact inside the airbag joint connectors below the passegner and driver seats.
Solutionpen the joint connectors and clean-up with electronic' spray cleaner.
Second reason:The presence' sensor inside the passenger seat is broken (if i remember well not all stilo have this sensor).
For this type of fault, you must dismantle the seat and replace the sensor.By the way this sort of work require some skill.
    Hope this help.

    Ok.
It's not complicated to open the joint and clean up with a good contact spray.
90 to 100 this is the problem.
    Hope this help.

If not check the large multiway beaneath the fuse box under the bonnet (next to battery).

The D4 multiway carries some stuff for airbags etc and this getting wet can cause similar issues - it did with me.

Its not far from the wheelarch so a good canditate for getting wet, even more so if you dont have a battery cover.

    Good luck

every time i have plugged on it it normaly comes up with passenger airbag, orverride key.

Have spent HOURS getting them to clear, have ended up causing faults then computer flagges up the caused faults then forgets what it said the firsttime around.

pretty sure it will need plugging into reset it.

how odd, did not think fiat drivers noticed things like airbag lights on!
