Hi, I had problems following instructions to install DDDL 6.4. Do I need to format and reinstall OS? or to delete some files at the regedit? or only the uninstall process of DDDL is enough?? Thanks in advance

This crack does indeed work for v6.4, I have installed it on several machines, but there were some... discrepancies...

If installing on Windows 7, the crack instructions, which are at the bottom of this post, work fine, I had no problems installing it on my Win7 laptop. Windows Vista should behave the same.

Windows XP, however, offered up more of a challenge. After several attempts, the way I found to work consistently was to follow the instructions included with the crack up to the point where you actually run the cracked exe, then enter ten random numbers for the key, once it says it is successfully registered, exit DDDL and reboot. Stop following the crack's instructions right there. Instead: Go to C:\Program Files\ and delete the *ENTIRE* Detroit Diesel folder, reboot, and re-install. The first dialog box to pop up after you run the installer again will want you to completely uninstall any previous versions of DDDL. Do *NOT* remove the "old" version, you overwrite what's already there (I believe the correct answer in this dialog box was "no"). After it finishes installing, reboot, run the program. It will be fully enabled.

I came up with this method through trial and error and have used it successfully to install it on 6 XP machines so far. I would bet this method will work the same with Win 2000.

HOW TO INSTALL :

To install on Windows XP and Vista For DDDL 6.4 Crack :

To install on vista or xp follow these instructions. it is a lot
but you MUST follow these direction exact or it WILL NOT work.

Run the install for DDDL 6.4. program

After install DO NOT run the progran. reboot your computer

After reboot (do not run the program at this time)- Go to
c:\program files\detroit diesel\diagnostics\ and copy
"dddl.exe" and paste it to your desktop (make sure the whole
file copies not just a shortcut)

copy the crack dddl.exe file from the download to
c:\program files\detroit diesel\diagnostics\

right click c:\program files\detroit diesel\diagnostics\dddl.exe
and run as administrator

enter any 10 numbers. the program will now open. let it open
completely.

close the progran and reboot computer

go to c:\program files\detroit diesel\diagnostics\ and
Delete dddl.exe and put the original file from the desktop in
this directory. (do not copy over the cracked dddl.exe it must
be deleted first)

reboot computer again

Now before you run the program you will need to go back
to c:\program files\detroit diesel\diagnostics\ right click
dddl.exe and go to properties. click on compatibilty tab and
make sure run as administrator is checked. click on ok.

Now you are done installing the program and it should run
with no problems. Then install the 6.44ta upgrade.

1 Question, I've installed and uninstalled several times DDDL6.4. but the program has asked for the 10 digit code 1 time, so I think that Im uninstalling in a wrong way. So I tried uninstalling with revo uninstaller but again when I reinstall DDDL6.4 the program dont ask for the 10 digit code. Do I need to format and reinstall windows? or what else can I do? Right now when I open the program shows the following error:

NSIRP32 initialization failure
Error Number 230
The bufer client defined is not big enough

Anyway I havent received a Detroit engine to test the program. Any ideas?
