RNS510 failed to update maps

Hi
I have a customer with T5 2012 with rns510.
I bought dvd with sw and maps
i updayed sw to v5238 successfully but while updating maps customer turned ign on and stopped process.
Now nav is not working and doesn;t let me do the process from the begining.
Any info how to make navi work again?

Insert dvd and ist Starts from new is Noe Problem ignation off is Pause Not Skip from Installation

Does the steering wheel operation still work? With 5238 and T5 I had problems .. For the map update, you have to insert the DVD, wait a moment and then press eject, then you see the loading bar. If you operate the device without CAN you have to turn it on after about 20 minutes (the update will continue) Sometimes the update needs several attempts.

Yes all functions work except navi. I have it on car.

Did you manage to upload maps? I had simillar situation and upoas from SD card helped

Just open rns, take off hhd, connect hdd to mainboard and copy map

Same folders, files etc?

Yes. Same folders. All You need is connector to hdd - it's not sata - it's IDE

But rns hdd is Linux ext4

Who said that? It's fat32 ! On few firmwares I had problems with update maps from sd card couse navi partition was to small. All A have done is removing hdd, connect it to PC, using easeuse partition master program I make it larger intead of media partition, then I copy dvd content to navi partition and "voila la". Hdd it is not even password protected...

Format the hard drive with either Setconfig or Martech program and then reinstall maps again. Or there's a software cd which will format the maps partition if needed.

i just removed hd...copied files... and when i tried to power up it asked me for code...

If you don't know the code then again, Setconfig or Martech will pull the code from the unit, or you might be able to get the code from the serial number via an ebay seller (unless it's been changed before).
