Default FIAT GRANDE PUNTO 1.3 CAN'T START...

    Hi

yesterday i replace the preheating (3 of them one was broken) in fiat grande punto 1.3.

    car work fine....

today car don't start..... (i just mention that i replace the coil, nothing to do with now problem )

i make diagnosis with mes, can't connect to see errors, and in first screen with ecu info i have corrupted info....

i can connect and make test in everything in engine......

only problem is error and bad info of the ecu...

i open the ecu and discover under the processor in cover side a plastic like cooler with soft "sponge"

and the processor was full of a kind of liquid, like melt glue...

i clean and heat up the possessor but doesn't work....

i try to connect the ecu on bench to make diagnosis With mes but i can.....

    any idea please?

    update....

i replace the ecu, and have the same symptoms.....

no connect to errors via mes.... can't start the car...... and i dont know the faults....

seems somewhere ecu lost communication with obd - bsi...

If there is a lost connection with engine ecu, you should see it reading errors from abs and also checking active nodes from bsi. I don't think you have lost communication, but looks like engine ecu is missing some power supply.

Look under battery for broken ground wire

you have pin out info to commicate on bench, so check them connections on the engine

no immo problem.. when i turn on the key after 2-3 sec the immo light has disappear...

you know the meaning of ? : "It never rains but it pours"

i replace the ecu (i partial destroy the original ecu maybe i can recover) the clone one shows me the same think as original when i connect the mes 3.6.....

i had install to my laptop an ssd disk and put on the diagnostics s/w.....everything seems to working good....

so i try to start the car...... crank's but not start.... i check for diesel in filter, i have diesel with pressure in filter... i have no connection with diagnostic in ecu.....

where your mind goes? broken ecu maybe? I open up the ecu , find on processor a lot of moisture something like glue.....

my logical says i have ecu problem....

i remove the 3.6 mes and install 2.2 version....... and voila... i can enter to ecu and see all the info as i should be.... (blood pressure too high...)

make diagnosis no fault.... just injector .... i programming them and now no fault on ecu..... but car still crank but not start.... the same as at the start of the problem

i check for pressure in injector's when i crank the engine but i don't have.....

the weird now is in mes i have increase the pressure volume in common rail but i think this is fault..... i have pressure at the returning fuel to tank..

and now what? possible to have any sensor fault and ecu can't recognized?

Let's see... Because of your shitty diag tool you opened engine ecu... god knows what you did there. Then, with 'new' diag tool you made injector programming without any reason, god knows what you did there...
Maybe you made new problems but still you don't know what is wrong with the car. Diagnostic/finding problems is not reading errors!!! You can have non starting car with no errors in ecu. You have to know what is necessary for staring this type of engine (engine rpm, fuel pressure etc...), then look in parameters, see what is wrong. Then crank, keep looking in parameters and you will find why your car not start.

I have the starting problem before replace the ecu...

Τhe injector code are ok... Even without injector coding this engine starts and works

The in tank pump working.... But I have no fuel pressure to injector.... If I have fault sensor, it is possible ecu don't recognize it?

How did you find out that there is no fuel pressure?

If you have no fuel pressure in the rail while cranking, then forget all about sensors, throw away diag tool, take some screwdrivers, wrenches..., make your hands dirty and find the problem.
First, check lift pump pressure in the engine compartment, if good, then check fuel filter and finally high pressure pump.
