    Hi,

    VAG Programmer V1.19g doesn´t work for me with a EDC15VM+ from a 2.5 TDi AKN Passat 3BG too.
    I use for this EDC VAG-K+CAN COMMANDER FULL 2.5 for EEPROM read.
    As KKL cable i use my original VCDS HEX+CAN cable in dumb virtual comport mode.
    But every cheap and simple KKL cable with an usb to serial chip inside should work.

    Hi Kabel.
    thanks for reply.
    Did you use Win XP32 or other?
    When using EDC VAG-K+CAN COMMANDER FULL 2.5, did you do anything special with drivers to make it work with VCDS HEX+CAN cable?
    I have VCDS HEX+CAN cable

    Hi.
    The Vcd$ cable works only with dedicated VCD$ software. Software vag k can commander 1.4 / 2.5 / (4.5 / 5.1 BETA only CAN) will work with dedicated device and vag kkl device. Both interfaces additionally work with vag eepromprogrammer 1.19g.
    I have vag kkl and vag commander 1.4 / 2.5 from China. Both work with these software on WIN XP, WIN 7 and WIN 8.1. Vag kkl is on CH340 drivers and vag commander on FTDI.

    @chriss1980
    I use Win 7 32 Bit
    I´ve just selected the right com port in VAG CAN COMMANDER.

    @Mario6
    Thats not true with VCDS.
    You can switch it with officially drivers to work as a normal usb to KKL interface with com port. With these special drivers you could use it on the same computer with VCDS and as an KKL cable (of course not at the same time).

    and please read carfully. I´ve got a HEX+CAN

    Maybe you're right. I used these drivers with my old 12.12.0 EN. I had VCP but unfortunately it did not work like vag kkl with VCDS Lite 1.2 (port com OK interface not found), Vag commander 2.5 (port com failted or not connected) or vag eeprom 1.19g (ECU not found). Maybe I was doing something wrong. I have all these interfaces so I do not bother that too much. They are all cheap.

    @Kabel

    I have tried, but failed, multiple times. installed VCP drivers, and select COM2.
    disabled "boot intelligent mode" in VCDS.
    get message "RX timeout" and "ECU not found" when I select connect to Dash or ECU
    Must be something i do wrong. open for suggestions.
    PS. Tried with WinXP-32, and Win8-64.

    So you have the same problem as me. Just buy one of these cheap ones. They will work too. I advise on FTDI controllers.

    It is possible to use VAG TACHO USB 5.0 cable? (FTDI FT245RL chip)
    Seems to recognize the interface, but show an error like "ECU not Found" whatever I can try to read.
