Hello All
Has anyone on here reset BCM and IMMO with FVDI.
Car doesn’t crank, fuel pump runs and immo light on.
If it can be done with FVDI what is procedure and do you need a freshkey after reset
Thanks in advance

On this case I always use opcom clone and it works. You have to reset bcm, ecu, sdm, ipc. You can use your old keys, there is no need to program new one.

abriyes does it , op com does it , id not like to guess on fvdi

no need to reset ecu
follow this and you will be fine.

Thanks everyone as no one has replied with FVDI will use
Is this done by OBD ?
What module do you pull pin from and when resetting do you use same pin to reset all modules or does opcom do this automatically?

tech 2 if you have security pin code which is printed on car pass, you need security access normally get through one of the gm tools
what ever you d DO NOT RESET ALL MODULES A ONCE or you will be screwed, only body control module reset needed, make backup of scan, make sure you have all keys for car for recoding ad security pin from car pass or owner ha to get from dealer.

That’s a bit cheeky what do you mean £50 !
Everyone has to start somewhere and I’m 100% sure you didn’t get out of bed one morning thinking I’m going to be an auto locksmith and I know everything and don’t need advice. I thought the idea of this forum was for giving advice especially to newbies like myself still on “L” plates. I am the sort who would give anyone anything they asked for within reason, especially advice as it’s free.
I’m not a ebay/ beer boy arsehole. I’ve invested heavily in key programming tools, lishi, key cutters, diagnostic, key stock etc etc.etc and continue to do so on a regular basis.
I charged £150 as the guy lives 5 miles from Vauxhall who quoted him £160, he also has a recovery truck so he really only saved his diesel money. Unless your planning on moving to N. Ireland I don’t think me doing these will affect you too much
There’s a lot of info on the net using Tech 2 clones to do this as it’s very very straight forward just following on screen instructions.
This is all over the net so it’s no big secret.
This is my favourite forum so thought I’d ask fellow members the procedure using gear I have to avoid bagging car. I could spend £200 on a Tech 2 clone and go onto any Vauxhall forum to get clear instructions but I prefer to do it old school and learn a bit about the system the car uses rather than follow on screen instructions

Jimmy , dont take this the wrong way mate , but you have not invested a fortune yet in key programming tools , as you are finding this is a massive and ongoing investment that does take time to build up and just when you think you are there you find something else you need . i know some do but i dont consider clones an investment , what you have is a pretty typical new starts set up that will grow and grow , my workshop is full of dust catching obsolete tools and chinese disasters.at least you avoided a huge investment on token machines from a well known supplier and training outfit , though you may well benefit from some basic training in the basics .
i think you are 100% right to ask questions and to do research to try and prevent bagging a car , and for the goodwill of others you seem to get plenty of advice . im glad you are not charging silly low rates , but you can forgive those that question this as its the norm from newer members on the forum and from new starts and seems the norm in your area from what i read and get told by others in the area , human nature is of course that all new starts get tarred with the same brush , you can see why from your own area, most are all take and no give , trying to do everything on the cheap and are a curse to an area and give us all a bad rep when pressing buttons with no idea what they are doing , many are not insured should things go wrong.
you got the job done at a decent rate so move on , its valuable experience and you wont need to ask for the next one , but like others you will become frustrated with this info being shared on forums and given away when its given away to an undercutter in your area and it affects you and your price , we all start when new thinking sharing and helping is a good thing and should be encouraged , but later down the line when new starts and those getting the same info free start affecting you , then attitudes often change and you dont like the info being shared , remember dk is open so can be viewed by the public and every new start even if not a member and it ranks very well , put in almost any key issue or car issue and it comes up on searches all the time , so will always be a double edged sword.
you will always get banter and you will always be considered part of the issues when new , par for the course , only you know your true true intentions and ethics until been around a while , even the price cutters dont tell anyone they price cut , to someone looking in your just another new guy asking basic questions on a forum until they know you , just life
