    Default Clone 8C chip ?

    Hello All

Been asked to do a manual spare ( no remote) for Mazda MX5 with crypto 8C transponder. MVP and other tools I have won’t do it.

Can this chip be cloned with Handy Baby, KDx2 or Xhorse keytool ?

    Thanks in advance 👍🏻

Yes seen that expensive chip 😬

Manual key customer is willing to pay for it as he’s a bit of an enthusiast it’s his Sunday car

Thanks everyone I’ll update HB and get a chip ordered 👍🏻

VVDI Key Tool can do it but the new chip can't be empty when you write on it. I used AVDi to prepare it for mazda and only then I was able to write on it with VVDI.
KD-X2 haven't tested but I think they say it is supported with some of the recent updates.

I know this is an old post but thought i would put this here.
VVDI super chip generate to Mazda / Ford & cloned customers Ranger original 8c chip no problem.
Only issue i had seen was maybe signal strength & Ranger would not start with chip inside the key.
Place it next to ignition & works fine.

I also notice when I reset these super chips using key tool they are written to ID and locked.
Luckily I had another so had to copy it.

Does yours also play games when resetting super chip

When you reset a super chip it should reset back to how it was before you altered it,obviously an issue here
