Default Lishi Ford 2017 different to HU101 ?

    Hi DK
Can anyone explain the difference ( if any ) between the HU101 pick and the Lishi Ford 2017. Looking at images of the tools the Ford 2017 has the lifters shaped 90 degrees in a 'L' shape and holes in the rails where the hu101 is the more common 'flag' shape etc. Is there coverage on the 2017 tool that the HU101 doesn't offer ???

its a totally different tool for a totally different lock , despite being same blade the lock is constructed totally different and the cut is totally different from each other.

hu101 is an external track , the new ford key is internal track , so cut very different , hu101 is cut on 2 edges of blade , new lock is cut same as hu66 , hu100 etc down middle of blade .

you only need look at the 2 cut keys to see the obvious difference between an external cut key and an internal cut key

so the tool must be made differently to defeat them

Thank you for the explanation, makes perfect sense now. Ive not seen any of these internal cut Fords so I'll get a tool ordered for when I do.

What was confusing me is suppliers were not listing vehicle coverage other than TL but their description is mixed up because they even list Transit 2002 - 2007 which is an error.

Thanks again Martin appreciate your time

    Is the blade the same

Hu101 flip blade from old key can be used to cut new inner track 2017 key ? Or has blade changed too?

I have new 2017 lishi but just wondering if to stock new hu101 blanks too
