You must check timing, then look at the wiring and load test it.

Check live data, compare crank & cam readings ! Problem has to be Cam sensor , Timing , Wiring or Ecu !

You really need to check wiring from CAM to ECU then if that's ok, check timing or scope CAM v CKP waveforms at the ECU. CAM sensor should have GND, 5v and signal out.

You need check camshaft belt in good state . P0340 Camshaft position sensor generally is for not sinchronize between Camshaft position sensor and CKP sensor. You engine is Out of point.

Disconnect plug from ecu and sensor. Rig up a 12v bulb. Run 12v through each wire and it will light the bulb bright, if not, that wire has green rot.

The only thing left to do is get somone with scope. Then you see what ecu is seeing

The information sent is to see with a scopemeter.
On sensors,if do not have scope i use a LED probe to not send wrong signal to ecu.
Like members said could be timing problem (camm, fuel pump,...).
Timing belt was changed before hard start problem?
