    Default Fiesta HU101

I have a Fiesta 2008 lost key, pick the ignition lock but see only has 8 wafers ( 9 + 10 move freely up and down)

Pick and decode by lishi 2in1 but i cannot found code in Insta with this bitting: 45544532

All i see in Insta is 10 bits. But in code master, there are HU101 7, 8 and 10 cuts.

    Someone has idea? Thanks.

There might be some worn parts.
How sure are you, about the decoding?

    Ign hold 1-8 wafer.
    So to turn ign,
    Cut key 45 54 45 32 11

The door might not open with these 11 cuts, atleast you will know, if your ign decoding is good.

I picked to turn the lock, after check lishi track deep on each cut.

The 9 and 10 moved freely up and down, no resistance on both side.

It's my first lock picked, i'll ask client if he can bring door lock to pick and decode.

    With bit: 45 54 45 32 11, i cannot found in Insta too.

8 wafers in this ignition is normal so if you can't find missing 2 by instacode then it's wrong decoding.

Maybe I am wrong but 2 in 1 is OK for ignition? Not exist 3 in 1 for this?

2in1 need little modification to be fully inserted into ignition lock.

The last cut on a hu101 is always a 2

    Then cut this,

    4554453212
Not being able to find it in insta, could mean, you decode wrong.
I am not telling you, that 4554453211 or 4554453212 is correct.
But it should tell you something.
By using end cut 11 or 12, you are not waisting a key blade.

So cut a key, and try

You can always wait for the doorlock, or take the ign lock apart.

This is not a easy lock to decode, because of the 5 heights.
Some shims, wear more, like the top ones, like 1 en 2.
So write down the exact readings,
    Like this, 0,7 1,2 3.8 or 5.2 etc.
    Mind your tension.
Do three readings, with different tension on the reader.
Pressing this reader, will give you differences in reading

Then post these 3 rows of readings here.

its not uncommon to find 8 cuts in ignition , but the door will have all 10 cuts in it , the 10th position should be a 2 cut .

that is a strange differ , far too many 4 and 5 cuts for any hu101 ive been too and ive done hundreds of these babies over the last 13 years of seeing them way back when we only had blind touch tools, i suspect your decode is out if the key doesnt turn the ignition , and you need to pick and decode this again , if using an ignition enabled tool ensure the tool is dead square in the lock as with 2 wafers missing this increases the chances of tool movement off of square .

Yes it's my first training lock pick and decode. I found also strange when igntion lock has only 8 wafers.

I've success 4 time to turn the lock and the code are still like this. I'll train today again.

    Sorted my HU101 lock.

    I bit first 1: 4554453222 -> This key turn only from 0 - II

4554453212 is perfect to turn from 0 - III

    Many thanks for you all

So your decoding was correct... Instacode with this hu101 profile was always on spot when I needed to calculate missing ones. But this case show that we never should trust computer in 100%. Glad you sorted it.

Now i know my decoding is correct (did 3 times). This case is very hard when i start my first lock, because the lock has only 8 wafers.

But in the end, it's a big experience for starting.

Customer just bring me the door lock: key bitted by 4554453212 cannot turn the door lock.

So i modifie to: 4554453232 and all OK now. Door and ignition lock work perfect.

In the end, Ford HU101 alway need door lock to decode!!!

Last time I got Fiesta on HU101 without a working key, I decoded ignition which got also 8 wafers and found missing 2 by instacode and all was good. Anyway, it's always better to work with door lock as you have complete set of wafers here and it's very easy to remove it from car
