Smart for two 450 Sam module cloning

Hello guys I have a smart for two that it has an issue with the high bean,and I am replacing Sam module because it seems to be the problem.
Now i do need some help,i have no xprog or something similar to read the chip that stores everything,can I use car prog ? If not can I swap chips ? Or anyone has had a similar issue

Maybe works with carprog mcu programmer. Read the eeprom from motorola and write to another sam.
The mask is same?

This sam I read/write with UPA.

when you have star, developer, C4 or C3 and or Vediamo you should do it without soldering...
only VIN and Kilometers will be stored from donor car...
but you´ll have no (big) issues...

I did synchronise the info with the MERCEDES diagnostic but I I don't get the miles

The immobilizer is correct I just need to synchronise the miles and the vin so it will show miles on my cluster

yes, when you swap mcu it will work...
first you have to desolder the upper pcb, to get to mcu...


with star and so on...
miles in dash will stay yours...
the miles from donor car will only stay in sam, you will not see them in dash display...
only when you turn ignition off, instead of miles in dash it will show - - - - - -...
when you give ignition again, your miles will stay again...

Ok so if I swap the mcu from original Sam module with issue in the high beam, to the used donor Sam module will everything will it be ok ? Because all I need to do in donor Sam is the vin and miles the immo is already synchronized with star. It just the problem that I am having ---------- on my cluster


Is never done this so I want to make sure before I desolder anything.

And I do have carprog if anyone has a picture showing how to read mcu please help

To change VIN in Eeprom you need checksum correct after...
Or reset miles in donor SAM...
And write donor sam VIN to Eeprom in dash...
And all is solved...

Sure no problem. Ok hold on now I am confused. Is it the miles immo and vin on the mcu or it has a separate eprom for miles and vin ?

So feedback on the job,for some reason did not work,alarm stock on horn stuck on no programming on the key the swap did not want well I am not sure what I did wrong ,soldering and desoldering was properly done,not sure what was the issue

you have comunication by obd with SAM unit...?
