    Default Dashboard Repair Guide

Hello everyone, I open this post because there are many defects in certain types of dashborads, known defects that are repeatedly repaired, and I think there is no guide prepared for it.

Here we could put each our grain of sand to try to make a guide on how to repair these failures.

For example, the recurrent failure of PSA frame needles, motor housings are fragile and break, needles do not move or do so dramatically ... the solution is nothing more than changing the housing sold in numerous Internet pages.

At this moment I have no idea how to repair these failures, but if the idea seems good for everyone, I can go collecting information and together we can make a good manual, which we could then put into PDF format by brands. .

Another recurring engine failure, in opel vectra B, the motors are not welded but they will press inside the housing, in many cases it is enough to clean these contacts to return to work.

Boards of Ford Focus, Mondeo, Kuga ... welding failures, the panel loses communication and all warning lights come on and the engine stops losing communication. The fault stops the engine and does not allow starting until the diagnosis is cleared ... the solution resolves the plate ...

In many instrument panels the welds fail, it is a recurrent fault, but in others there are critical components such as some mcu motorola ...

Another instrument panel that fails a lot, ford focus, mondeo, kuga ... typical failure of bad welds in the connector and the rest of the board, solve resolder the entire board. On some occasion I have been told to change the CAN controller, but of this I have no more information, if someone else can add it ...

I haven't had any problems with Focus repairs but the Kuga only seems to work less than half of the time.
I usually end up cloning a second hand cluster to it.
Although they are practically the same boards what am I missing ?
    Any ideas anyone?

    Thanks
