Default 2016 Fiesta Immobiliser error after key programming

Stupidly I erased key before coding additional key to a 2016 ford fiesta. It's now showing error code on ford ids clone as B10d8 - pats key less than minimum programmed, but I've no pats access to reprogram with ids clone. I've tried autek ikey and obd star h100 both deleting and adding keys. Car starts but still showing fault. Tried resetting code but still there. Any ideas before it goes to Ford dealer?

How can they get access to pats then as its my understanding you need to access pats to add the keys.

No need to worry about that. Locksmith before dealer! If you let us know which area you are in then maybe someone can help.

I'm in Tain North of Inverness. Closest automotive locksmith is Keith which is 70 miles away. Is there anything I can do myself or any tool I can purchase to sort this?

The fault code says it all...

Pats system needs 2 keys programmed in. if you have the original key then I guess that is working, and the new key is incorrect (chip is wrong)

if its lost keys then get another key/chip

I'm down south sorry so unable to be of any help.
Nothing you can do without purchasing a key programming tool. It will work out cheaper and quicker to pay that locksmith to do the job and will also get you out of trouble. Then possibly look at buying a tool capable of undertaking these jobs at a later stage. It depends on how much of a hurry the customer is in. If you have a couple of days on your hands and also the money to invest then it would be wiser to put that money towards the purchase of a tool now then do the job yourself.

There is that option but you've got to make sure that you've got the latest ids software installed and also be prepared for web access issues.

Hi I have an autek ikey and a couple other Chinese clone programmers. 2 keys are working, my programmers are showing that 2 keys are coded to it also but the fault code still is there and won't delete. Would it be worth me buying a proper Ford key from Ford and programming that to it as well or is it the tools I have can't do the job properly?

The car is starting and running. Two different programmers are showing it as having 2 keys coded to it, both of them work. As soon as you start it, it says immobiliser fault. Ids is showing as having no keys codes to it. What will a locksmith do that I can't? The car is running?

Are these proximity keys? If so have you programmed the emergency start transponders?
