I have 2010 Cadillac Escalade and a used radio that I bought from a part store(Already has a VIN programmed that doesn't match the BCM), and an old not working radio.
Part Number: 20955278
I installed the new radio with a replacement and I'm greeted with the TheftLock error due to the VIN's not matching.
I was going to copy the EEPROM from the old radio to flash on the working used radio, but I have it apart and cannot find the EEPROM location on this board.
I've found one chip labeled "28033204" from searching appears to be a 24C256 chip.
I have a dump and searched through it, it does have a string of numbers but it doesn't look like the VIN number, which makes me think this isn't where the VIN is stored. (I've attached the dump just in-case I'm wrong)
TL;DR
Does anyone know where the EEPROM where the VIN is stored on this radio!?
Thanks
I appreciate any help
(I've also attempted to take it to 3 Cadillac dealer to which have been told it's write once and they cannot do a VIN relearn....I then attempted a few mechanics that have Tech2's/MDI's and they also said they couldn't do it.....)
