Hi
I have been reading this interesting site for a while and gained a lot of useful Knowledge.
Now I would really appreciate some help with a problem on my 2015 C1. It has the Tyre Pressure and Traction Control warning lights on with fault code C1435
I have taken it to the local official Citroen Garage and paid for diagnostic and repair, but they do not know the answer. They just want a blank cheque to start replacing parts until they stumble across the answer. They read the Fault Code C1435 which confirmed what I already knew. "Yaw speed sensor" Communication fault but they had no idea what caused it. I was absolutely appalled !!!
Some background history.
I had what I thought was a small bump on the front and the airbags deployed. For various reasons I did not want to claim on the insurance but was lucky enough to get the body parts very cheaply. This just left the Airbag ECU with a fault code. I sent it off to an airbag specialist to get the crash data removed. It came back with the airbag light off but two new lights on: TPMS and Traction. Fault code C1435.
Although I complained, the place I sent it to denied responsibility.
Research on the internet shows this is a fault which some Toyota cars have had. I believe Toyota make the Airbag ECU in the Citroen C1. Various instructions for other models of car talk about resetting the Zero Point for the Yaw control which I think is in the Airbag ECU. I have Lexia/Diagbox software and tried resetting the Zero Point but no success.
There is a similar report on this forum where crash data was cleared but produced the C1435 fault on a Toyota Avalon. Somebody else said there was definately ABS data in the Airbag ECU.

Final question. If I buy a used Airbag ECU with the same number 891700H130 with no crash data, will it work or are they coded to the car with a VIN or similar.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
