X-tool vs uhds smok

Hello. Could one of my more experienced friends tell me , is there something I won't to do by X-tool and I could do by Uhds smok?

you can just download both programs and use as demo. then you see everything

Yes, thank you. I know that. I meant what he really did. My friend has a Uhds and Jtag with ecu MB license and said there are problems with Mercedes ecu CDR3. That's why I asked about experience and not about the producer's list. but thank you for your help

both have some BUGS but SMOK can do more, both have shitty support,

thank you . I exactly thought about these mistakes Can you share with me yours experiences? Has smok any other problem with ecu (besides crd3 mb) ?

they are almost all the same. the x-tool is usually a few months behind the others but cheaper.
support are all shit ... they only answer you while you don't pay, after you pay they don't answer you anymore.

if you lose your device or x-tool usb key then forget that you will get a new one with the activations you had before, they will tell you that you have to buy a complete new device

when I lost my usb key maybe 8 months ago, they told me that I had to buy the whole device, so I bought a new tool but not from them

I have smok Renault/Fiat and Volvo dash options, but for mileage x-tool works better,smok sometimes write mileage with 2000-3000km difference but if I write flash for old 2000-2007y Volvos smok do it 3x faster than x-tool, for never cars you can read only language area with smok(x-tool need to write all flash)

Hey guys So I am in USA. I am looking into possibly rebuilding modules and reset after crash. I have a dilemma, I cannot decide which tool to get. Currently I only have some very basic programmers. I have a Digiprog 3 clone that works good for ODO up to a certain year but reading eeprom sometimes not a very good tool,I also have a Willem GQ4x programmer, and a TachoPro clone that is good for doing older cars. Two out of 3 are good for mostly odo only. However I am trying to get into doing it all, clear crash,keys/immo,dash. I am not trying to spend alot right now just want to see whats out there and which tool works best for newer cars. So my question is this. I have been looking at carprog clone,carprog original,x-tool and smok uhds.

So my question is which is the best tool that will do all these things? I heard smok needs additional progammer depending on what your doing. Would like to have all in one tool. Looking for opinions from you guys since you have been doing this for a while. Also open to any other tool suggestions. Also note I have ODIS so I can do keys on Audi however not sure if odis will let me adapt used modules. This is why I think aftermarket solution is best. Carprog original is on my list as they have subscription which could be good for starting out this is one of the reasons why I am considering that particular tool.
