Question Yamaha Aerox 50cc 2015 - speed limiter removal

Hi,I have a question regarding 2015 Yamaha Aerox 50cc scooter. Max speed is locked at 50km/h, now how is this limitation achieved? Is the limiter in the ECU? Or there is something in the engine itself? If the limitation is electronic only, what can I do to remove it, what chip do I need to modify?

    Thanks in advance!

    EDIT: It's 2 stroke

So there shouldn't be any electronic limiter? Only the limiter in the variator? There is also some closed pipe coming from the exhaust, they told me that's also the limiter and that I need to cut it off and wield the hole shut, is this correct?

Yes if there is a pipe coming from exhaust with a blank end cut it off and weld a plate over the hole to stop it blowing. Tuned many 2 strokes back in the day...

    Remove locking ring from variator!

Should run at 85/90km/h speeds without it.

If you need more just with rev limiter increase.
