2019 Fort Transit Custom

Hi i used a Tool called OBD Doctor 500 to change the mileage on 2019 Ford Transit Custom i read the flash saved the original and then altered the mileage it worked fine i then drove the vehicle for around 10 miles and still fine, i have woken up this morning to 4 XXXX on my dash ? can someone explain what this is ? and also can i just flash my original file back on to correct this problem ? thank you

thanks for posting this thread but none seems to have a clear explanation to why it says XXXX or even more importantly a solution to getting it corrected i hope someone had fixed this problem and can share there experience with us

once its XXXX you cant fix it by doing mileage again, SMOK will not fix it, can only be fixed manually on bench using a hexeditor

Just a update on this, I fixed this problem and it was fixed the following day using the same tool and a method pm me if you want to know as there is a lot of non helpful people on this site that i hope this happens to and they get stuck, for those people who are helpful i would love to share this with you

how did you change mileage in the ecu, ? i was woking doing some electrical work at a ford dealer a while ago and a customer was shouting at the technician cause they had checked the mileage on ecu and it didnt match?? lost his warranty not a happy bunny .

You can fix quite easy if you have smok ( needs original flash and eeprom fro similar van I think ) and with m500 I have heard , yes you are right there are some lets say " not so nice " folk on here among some very helpful

There is a way of repairing with the m500 it by using a combination of different cars focus and custom for example . its due I believe to the fact that when you use transit you dont get a full read
