    Default Mpps v16 error. Can't read ECU.

    Hello guys, can't read Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0crd 2005. ID read is ok i think, but Ecu read not even starting always getting same error. "Service not suported in active diagnostic mode"

    Thats clone tools for you mate. I used too use MPPS V13, works pretty well for the price.

    use v18 eu clone way more stable then china done these a few times with it no problem

    Thanks guys. I already ordered Mpps v18, hope it will do this car . With this one v16 i did couple cars with no issue, my Bmw 530xd 2010, Audi A8 4.2tdi 2006 and VW passat 1.9 PD 2004

    What are the differences between mpps v18 china and EU? I have the v18 china and works fine

    That's the point.
    I buy a clone to read, then sent the file to a member of this forum paid and car is with stage 1 for much less money

    usually you only get that error when ecu been tuned before and the mapper has but a read lock on the file so only way to read will be bdm or get a original file and write with mpps instead

    the service not supported in active diagnostic mode error is waht im relating to

    The thing I know is MPPS clone is very risky at VAG EDC16 ecus when writing,especially after 50% writing ,when doing buffer and checksum calculation I think, writing stops,then you need Ktag or VCP... Other ecus didnd have problems, but VAG edc16 never do with clone MPPS.

    this is not vag edc16 and also if you have bad clone then yes risky with vag or any other type but the eu clones and the good quality ones have no problem with vag
