That seems helpful when can't turn they key by any kind of way (at least once). But until now, I always managed to turn at least once using simple tricks / much force. And when turn is possible, no need to take apart housing, only barrel comes out. We need to make a 'hole' in key blade in order to make that 'little piece that prevents the plug from leaving' hide in that hole and letting us remove plug. Then we cut new blade and change wafers and all done.

Hi , MVVL a little piece in the plug wafer Prevent him to leave ignition cylinder.

two tricks you can do first tricks turn key in position of exit (see page 8 picture 3 in tutorial) and hit the plug wafer with hammer.

the second tricks make a hole in blade key As P1et said.

A shim insert, between the core, and the spring.
Looks like the spring, is keeping the core in place.
If a thin sheed off steel be swooped between the core, and spring. That might work to pull the core out.

    I still need to adapt a C3 (2002) doorlock.
    A valeo,
Does someone know, how to take these apart.
Where i place the red arrow, there apears to be someting slide in.
No way to reach in, and pull that out.
When i took off the rod, leading to the doorlockswitch. Giving me acces to the inner area.
I guessed, that i could drill a small hole, and push clamp upwards.
    Someone done this before?door-lock-citroen-c2c3 a.jpg

    ---------------------
Solved, i drilled a small hole, to get under the clip, and popped it up.

Yes, I drill holes with a 1.5 drill bit and remove the circlip.

I used to drill it , too..Then I started using a set of extractors to remove broken keys. Any locksmith probably has it.
