    Default Ford Kuga Key not Recognised help.

    Ford Kuga.
    Lads got a call this evining customer says remote stopped working and when getting inside the car I got message key not recognise, both forbs with new battery, car starts when remote is hold on steering colum, otherwise key not recognised, checked all fuses and reset battery no joy, any help thanks.
    Tools owned: Hammer, Chisel, Crowbar, Punch, Chainsaw, Cutter and Brain!!!

    Will probably be the antenna above the roof liner. This was a cmax, Freelanders suffer with this too. I cover them with duct tape when I replace them to shield them from the condensation drops.

    Yes post 2 is right. There should be 2 antenna in the vehicle. If u run a diagnostic it might point u the direction of which exact 1 is the culprit. Kuga show have 1 in the centre arm rest and 1 further up the centre console closer to the gear leaver . But I am not 100% sure. Had this problem on a ford focus. Hope this helps.
