FIRST TIME WITH SIMOS PCR2.1

Hi

i have an ecu from a Skoda Octavia 1.6 simos pcr2.1, first time deal with that kind of ecus, (my tools are hq clone... for now.....)

as i can see, i must unlock the eeprom to read it, i have to make dpf off..

so, if i understand correctly:

must make id with ktag, (i suppose it is locked..)

read eeprom, and save, after unlock it with ktag, and write back to ecu...

if everything goes right, i put back ecu in to car and read it and write it by obd....... correct?

my other question is kess doesn't have protocol to read pcr2.1 under Scoda, can i use any other from the group?

you can do it with kess v2 on bench, solder resistors read eeprom ....unlock it with kess and then you can read/write over OBD.

ktag make the same work by bench right?

after, i read full flash by obd? by just pickup any brand of vw group? (Skoda pcr2.1 isn't it in kess 2.25...)

I use kess 2.47 and never have problem...i never try with ktag but i think they do good work too and yes after unlock eeprom you can read/write by obd

thanks, you know if i can use other model from vw group with pcr2.1? Skoda doesn't have pcr2.1 protocol.....

All same for rd/wr flash with kess...

i double read the eeprom with ktag, the reading looks ok, after i press serial programming activation and choose the ori, i get invalid backup file......

i should put the file in c:/ or is there other problem? i didn't use any weird symbols, just letters....

Friend. Do it better, Kess, because if you shoot your eeprom, you'll have a problem. What do you need to do? You need to unblock the driver to fully read it with Ktag. If you do not unblock it, you can only read a part of the program using Ktag.

Kess make full read by obd?

This is how you connect the kess first through this adapter and solder the resistors according to the instructions. You are doing kess unlocking the driver. And then you do normal after OBD full read. You play, do what you want with it. Because Katag, if you do not unlock the driver with something, it will only partially read it. For that, it is safer to do Kssem. Unless you unlock it with Kees and then do the reading with the Ktag.

No. Much has an option to unlock this driver. Galleto also has this option. Mpps v21 also saw had. Io Terminal simens has it. What don't kess say you're looking for a different solution? You just have to be careful because if you read it, you will get eeprom. And then there is a problem to get it back on its feet.
