Hi
Is there anyway to make this ecu virgin?
Costumer bought car without original ecu, and has a used ecu to replace.
From my research only io terminal can do it? i have opcom, kess, carprog, piasini, etc..but not io terminal.

Yes, i guess so too, but im afraid i dont have io terminal, is there any other way or tool? like clear eeprom dump? Thanks

there is eeprom utility in ioterminal soft , read eeprom with tool > reset dump to virgin state > load back eeprom to ecu , that's all. But for reading eeprom you need ioterminal tool - kess can't read this area.

Thats awesome, thanks once again for trying to help!
so, it seems im stuck anyway without io terminal? i have no problems opening ecu and desoldering, is it possible to read eeprom inside with carprog? then i would for sure send u that dump!

there isn't real eeprom inside , emulated eeprom area is in flash memory of mcu, so carprog can't read it. Originally Posted by edge77
